Taking the conversation digital - does it improve member engagement?

Page Lizard, who help a number of membership organisations create digital and ‘app’ editions of their magazines, are conducting some research among leading membership organisations to deliver to the forthcoming Memcom conference in May. The theme is: 

Taking the conversation digital - does it improve member engagement?

Would you be able to help them on an anonymous basis?  All they need is a short, confidential, telephone survey which will be conducted by one of their team and sent back to you for verification. All findings will be generalised and anonymous.
 
Questions will include:

  1. Do you have a membership magazine which you send out in print plus digital?
  2. Are there other communications which you have switched from print to digital in the past five years?
  3. Do you see any signs that members who receive digital communications are more engaged?
  4. Are you able to use statistics and other monitoring methods obtain useful analysis on membership behaviour from your digital communications?
  5. Have you been able to reach potential new members – like students or oversees members – by using digital communications?
  6. Please summarise the digital communications you are currently using.
  7. Are there any tools or applications that you use which you would recommend to other organisations.
  8. How important is print going forwards?
  9. How important is digital going forwards?
