Silverbear Customer Conference 2015
On Friday 10th July we hosted our second Annual Customer Conference at the EIC in Vauxhall, London.
An introduction by Silverbear’s Sales and Marketing Director, Carl Grieves, detailed how the membership sectors are becoming increasingly strategic in their thinking as they strive to achieve true Business Transformation in order to ensure improvements with member acquisition, retention and engagement. Carl also covered some changes in the supplier landscape; particularly the consolidation of other providers and the decreasing number of such, reinforcing Silverbear’s continued commitment to the membership sector and our increasing expansion to support our customers, prospective customers and the community as a whole.
Next up was Richard Gott, Founder of Memberwise, talking about the “Perfect Membership Scheme”. This interactive session really challenged the audience and it was fantastic to see everyone voting Yes / No on the Forty-Four Key Membership Scheme Temperature-Check Questions. We would strongly recommend all of our readers to download this popular advice sheet and start driving improvements to help you create, quality assure, or even change your existing membership scheme to improve value and growth. If nothing else, you should also look at Richard’s advice regarding HMRC List 3, providing tax-relief to your members on their fees – no doubt this would bring positive impact on member recruitment and retention!
Following on, Sue Froggatt, one of the UK’s leading Membership advisors, spoke about the changes Membership organisations need to think about as they strive to achieve the higher expectations of the communities they serve. For the afternoon, a number of breakout sessions were facilitated by Silverbear, highlighting upcoming technologies such as Microsoft Dynamics Marketing (MDM) along with masterclasses on the Silverbear Membership solution. We were pleased to be supported in the afternoon with sessions from DNN Gold partner Cantarus and strategic Business and Technology consultancy Purple.
