Microsoft Dynamics 2016 Highlights
Microsoft announced that the latest version (Spring 2016 Wave) of Dynamics will be available in Q2 of 2016. Microsoft calls this “the most comprehensive upgrade ever for Dynamics CRM” and we can’t help but agree. It’s extremely extensive and we think the benefits membership organisations can stand to achieve are great.
The focus of this update is very heavily weighted on helping companies “deliver customer experiences that are personalised, proactive and predictive.” The Spring 2016 wave update also includes large updates to Microsoft Dynamics Marketing and Microsoft Social Engagement.
With the new release, membership organisations can now:
- Personalise member experiences by engaging them at the right time, in the right place, in the right way throughout the journey.
- Create proactive experiences by determining the next best interaction with your members based on insights.
- Make membership engagement predictive by leveraging internal and external data to identify patterns and trends. Apply information to make recommendations or suggestions for how to optimise.
There are too many new features to list, but below are some of the ones that we feel will have the most impact on membership organisations:
A lot has been invested in the mobile functionality of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. 2016 now delivers a seamless user experience across mobile devices, including tablets and phones. It is also possible for users to create, edit or delete CRM entries using the mobile apps offline – meaning work doesn’t have to stop when connectivity is lost or not available.
Microsoft Social Engagement
Included in Dynamics 2016 is the updated Microsoft Social Engagement tool. This has been extended so that you can now search discussion boards, forums, blogs, Instagram and Facebook posts. This additional functionality now means that you can have a full picture of the online conversations relevant to your membership and industry.
Sentiment analysis has also been updated so that users can customise the sentiment scoring models according to your association’s needs. The system will immediately start learning from these scores, resulting in higher sentiment precision.
The new release includes improved business intelligence tools. Power BI is a suite of business analytics tools to analyse data and share insights. This will enable you to monitor your association’s activities and get answers quickly with rich dashboards available across every device.
