Silverbear are proud to announce the production Go-Live of its leading membership management platform into the Institute of Directors (IoD). The new solution, in live operation from July 2016, replaces several incumbent business applications, and allows the IoD to manage most aspects of their 35,000 membership from within one simplified and intuitive CRM solution.

The project also involved the consolidation of several websites into an integrated, single instance of www.iod.com based on DNN Evoq Engage. Silverbear, in partnership with Cantarus, is delivering to the IoD an enhanced end-to-end digital experience to all members and an extensive suite of member self-service capabilities.

James Maunder, Director of Information and Digital Services at The IoD is thrilled that the new integrated platforms have been delivered to time and budget: “Previously disparate and siloed systems provided a real barrier to service delivery and the continual improvement we aim for. With Silverbear, we have been able to increase our focus on our members and their needs, improve our business processes whilst providing a platform for future growth and development. We are currently undergoing a period of rapid change and the Silverbear Membership solution gives us the tools and capacity to manage this effectively.”

Combining powerful internal back-office membership and financial management solutions with engaging, personalised and interactive online member self-service capabilities, Silverbear Membership, built on a core of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, is a complete membership platform for member-centric organisations like the IoD.

Silverbear worked closely with the IoD to introduce the following into their business:

  • Silverbear Membership across 180 users of the organisation to manage and administer relationships with all members and non-members
  • Events functionality to manage all events throughout the organisation, including Professional Development, Nations, Regions and Branches,
  • IOD member self-service capabilities available through the www.iod.com website providing an improved and seamless user experience.
  • Full integration into all other business applications.
The new Silverbear Membership Solution has replaced no less than seven different business applications and has streamlined business processes and functions throughout the organisation.” stated Carl Grieves, Silverbear Director. “This puts The IoD in an extremely strong position when it comes to achieving their strategic plans. This was a very challenging project in terms of deliverables and timescales, but Silverbear, Cantarus and the IoD worked hard to ensure all targets and KPI’s were met throughout the delivery programme.”
