The Silverbear Membership solution

Silverbear’s Membership solution is designed to meet the current and evolving needs of membership organisations who are looking for an integrated system that will unify their data, deliver operational efficiencies through workflow and automation, and for this to power community engagement through self-service via the multiple channels and devices that can be accessed via the internet, especially the insatiable rise of smartphones and tablets.

The Silverbear Membership solution provides, where required, a complete environment for back-office management of, and online engagement with (website, events management, education management, application management etc), across the complete and diverse stakeholder base of large membership organisations. Enhanced by powerful real-time integration technologies, the solution ensures that you and your complete community is always as up-to-date and as engaged as possible.  

Microsoft Dynamics 365

At the core of our solution is Microsoft Dynamics 365, upon which Silverbear has developed the modules that make up the Silverbear Membership solution.

Silverbear has dramatically and extensively enhanced and extended the base Microsoft Dynamics 365 and web self-service portal (based on the leading DNN Platform web portal product) platforms to offer the functionality required by large membership organisations and their customer communities.

Silverbear has also achieved Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CFMD) accreditation. CFMD is Microsoft’s highest standard for partner-developed software. Silverbear Membership is the only not-for-profit software solution in the UK to hold this accreditation. Silverbear combines its membership solution, Silverbear Membership, together with the best of Microsoft Dynamics 365 – its flexibility, ease and familiarity of use and its integration with the Microsoft stack – to give customers the best of both technologies. This results in the only certified solution that specifically meets the intricate needs of the membership sector.


DotNetNuke (DNN) is the most widely used .NET content management system (CMS) and we at Silverbear use it to implement our self-service portals for clients and also websites for some of our clients.

The self-service portal is a key part of the membership solution. Giving your members access to their own member-only area of your website helps provide value to your members, but also helps reduce administration for your association. 

The self-service portal can be branded to match your own corporate styles through DotNetNuke 'skins' (styling). The portal can then be populated with a range of information and data, including event listings, news, articles, documents and any other type of information that will be of interest to members (and part of their membership benefits). 

New and non-members can quickly and easily register to access your portal, where depending on their membership type, they can access relevant information and manage their membership profile. All registration and profile amendments will automatically be fed into the Silverbear Membership solution.
