Silverbear at Memberwise Harnessing the Web 2014

Silverbear Events |
Silverbear had a brilliant time exhibiting at the Memberwise Harnessing the Web 2014 conference last Tuesday. We were exhibiting with Appius, who are our digital specialist partner we work together with at the BVA (British Veterinary Association).

This is not the first time we’ve attended this event and we can confirm that it gets better and better each year! It was fantastic to meet and talk to so many people in the membership industry – both customers and others.

Throughout the day were a range of talks and presentations from membership industry leaders. We specifically enjoyed Rob Smith from Indigo Blue’s presentation on how incremental delivery of membership solutions in professional membership organisations can help enable a faster and stronger ROI.

This is something that we also feel passionate about at Silverbear – it’s far more effective to implement a membership solution incrementally for many reasons. Firstly key members of staff can start using it sooner, taking advantage of the benefits far quicker than if they were forced to wait for the all-singing-all-dancing solution to be installed. And secondly, it helps uptake within the organisation as it’s not such a huge, overwhelming change. Training is easier and more effective and staff will feel more comfortable with the change from day one.

In between presentations, we were able to chat to many attendees from across the membership industry, who came to talk to us at our stand over the course of the day.  It was great to talk to them about their thoughts on the current state of the membership industry – the trends that they’re seeing, the challenges they’re facing and how they feel about the future.

Overall, it was a really positive day, with lots of great feedback from delegates and other exhibitors. It’s an annual event, so if you didn’t make it this year, remember to make a note in your diary to attend in 2015!
